Winwin is a member of NCT 127, the Seoul-based sub-unit of NCT managed by SM Entertainment, debuting with the group on July 7, 2016 as part of its original seven-member lineup. He was introduced through SM Rookies on January 5, 2016, and prior to NCT 127's debut appeared as a dancer for the live performance of NCT U's "The 7th Sense" at the 16th Music Feng Yun Bang Awards in China in April 2016. He is also a member of WayV, an NCT China-based sub-unit, whose debut preparations caused him to sit out NCT 127's promotional activities for the Regulate repackage.
