Jaehyun is a member of NCT 127, the Seoul-based sub-unit of NCT managed by SM Entertainment, debuting with the group on July 7, 2016 as part of its original seven-member lineup. He joined SM Entertainment in 2012 after being cast by label employees and was among the first members introduced through SM Rookies, and served as a fixed MC for the music show Show Champion from January to June 2015. He previously debuted as a member of NCT U.
