Seungkwan is a member of Seventeen, a South Korean boy band formed by Pledis Entertainment that debuted on May 26, 2015. In February 2015, ahead of the group's debut, he co-hosted the AfreecaTV live program Hoshi and Seungkwan's Andromeda (호시, 승관의 안드로메다) with fellow member Hoshi. He has noted that the pool of prospective members for the group at one point reached around 30 before the final thirteen were confirmed.
