Miyeon is a singer and member of I-dle (formerly (G)I-dle), a South Korean girl group under Cube Entertainment that debuted in 2018. She previously trained under YG Entertainment from 2010 to 2015, leaving amid complications regarding her debut with Blackpink, after which she worked as a freelance singer and appeared in Urban Zakapa's Canada Tour (2016) and Lim Seul-ong's "You" music video (2017). In 2018, she voiced the character Ahri for Riot Games' virtual K-pop group K/DA on "Pop/Stars," performed at the League of Legends World Championship.
