Miyeon is a member of I-dle (formerly (G)I-dle), a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. She previously trained under YG Entertainment from 2010 to 2015, and prior to joining Cube Entertainment worked as a freelance singer, appearing with Lim Seul-ong at Urban Zakapa's Canada Tour (September 2016) and in his "You" music video (2017). She provided vocals as the character Ahri for K/DA's "Pop/Stars" in 2018.
