The name combines 김재중's initial 'J' with the 'X' from 김준수's stage name XIA. He debuted in 2003 as part of TVXQ under SM Entertainment, later co-founding JYJ after a contract dispute lawsuit concluded in the members' favor. In 2023 he left C-JeS Entertainment and established his own agency, iNKODE. JX has since staged the IDENTITY and CORE concert tours across Asia.
