Yoona (born May 30, 1990) is a South Korean singer and a member of Girls' Generation, the SM Entertainment group that debuted on August 5, 2007. She was cast by SM through the 2002 Saturday Open Casting Audition, where she sang and danced to BoA and Britney Spears — after going through roughly 200 auditions for music videos, dramas, and movies. The eight-member group, also known as SNSD, released their seventh Korean studio album FOREVER 1 in 2022 and the single K-POP ScreaM 1 in December 2024.
