Hyein is a South Korean member of NewJeans under ADOR, a sub-label of Hybe. Prior to debuting with NewJeans, she was a member of the children's music group U.SSO Girl under the stage name U.Jeong from November 2017 before departing a year later, and subsequently joined the music group and YouTube collective Play With Me Club formed by PocketTV in December 2020, graduating on May 3, 2021. Following a court ruling in October 2025 amid the group's contract dispute with Hybe, she agreed to return to ADOR.
