Bang Chan is the leader of Stray Kids, a South Korean boy band under JYP Entertainment that officially debuted on March 25, 2018. He is a member of 3Racha, the group's primary in-house production team, alongside Changbin and Han. Unusually for the K-pop industry, Bang Chan personally handpicked each Stray Kids member from JYP Entertainment trainees, rather than the agency's executives and creative directors making the selection.
