예음 debuted on January 13, 2023, as one of the two founding members of South Korean girl group 프림로즈 (Primrose), with the mini-album RED MOON. On March 23 of that year, she departed from the group due to health reasons. Following her exit, three new members — 나현, 레이니, and 하윤 — joined across May and June 2023, reshaping 프림로즈 into a four-member act.
