NewJeans is a five-member K-pop group that debuted on July 22, 2022, under ADOR. Debut & Early Releases

NewJeans made their formal debut as a recording act on August 1, 2022 — just ten days after their official debut date of July 22 — with the release of their first mini-album, New Jeans. The album's title track, "Attention," served as the group's opening statement to the market. The brevity of time between the group's official debut and their first release characterized the pace of their early career, with material arriving almost immediately after the group was introduced to the public under ADOR.

Discography Arc

The group continued at a measured release cadence through 2023. On January 2, 2023, roughly five months after New Jeans, NewJeans issued the single album OMG, with "Ditto" serving as its lead track. This marked the group's second release format in quick succession, adding a single album to the mini-album that opened their catalog.

Their second mini-album, Get Up, followed on July 21, 2023 — one day shy of the first anniversary of the group's official debut. Fronted by the title track "Super Shy," the project represented a return to the mini-album format after the intervening single. Taken together, the first three releases placed the group in front of the market at regular intervals across 2022 and 2023.

NewJeans closed out their active release period with NJWMX, a repackage album issued on December 1, 2023. The repackage format draws from a group's prior released material; NJWMX arrived just under five months after Get Up and concluded the group's initial run of output.
