MONSTA X: Discography & Career Overview
A chronological look at MONSTA X's releases, lineup, and activity — grounded in verified release data.
MONSTA X, formed under Starship Entertainment, made their official debut on May 14, 2015 — a date that also marked the release of their first mini-album, Trespass. Comprised of seven members — Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, I.M, and Wonho — the group has assembled a discography spanning mini-albums, full-length studio records, Japanese editions, and an extended catalog of English-titled material. Their fanbase, known as Monbebe, has accompanied them across more than a decade of continuous activity.
Debut & Early Releases
Before their official debut, MONSTA X released the single Interstellar on February 12, 2015, offering an early preview of the group nearly three months before Trespass arrived. The debut mini-album, fronted by its title track, was followed later that year by the second mini-album Rush (September 1, 2015). These early releases laid the groundwork for a group that would quickly expand into more ambitious multi-part projects.
The Clan Series and First Full-Length
Between May 2016 and March 2017, MONSTA X undertook a sustained thematic arc: The Clan trilogy. The series opened with the mini-album The Clan Pt. 1 Lost (May 18, 2016), led by "All In," and continued with The Clan Pt. 2 Guilty (October 4, 2016), led by "Fighter." The arc concluded with The Clan Pt. 2.5: The Final Chapter (March 21, 2017) — the group's first full-length studio album, fronted by "Beautiful." A repackage edition, Shine Forever, followed that June with its title track. The trilogy represented a notable step forward in release scale and conceptual continuity.
A Prolific Output Period
The latter half of 2017 saw the group broadening its footprint. A Japanese edition of "Beautiful" appeared on August 23, 2017, the same day as a Korean single of the same title. The mini-album The Code (November 7, 2017), led by "Dramarama," rounded out a packed year. In 2018, the pace continued: The Connect: Dejavu (March 26, 2018) brought "Jealousy," while the full-length Piece (April 25, 2018), led by "Puzzle," added to the studio catalog. By October, the full-length Take.1 Are You There? arrived with "Shoot Out" — meaning the group released two studio albums within the same calendar year.
English-Titled Releases and All About Luv
From early 2019, MONSTA X's release schedule featured a sustained run of English-titled singles. Take.2 We Are Here (January 20, 2019) led with "Alligator," and a series of standalone singles followed across the year: "Play It Cool" (March), "Who Do U Love?" (June), "Love U" (September), and "Someone's Someone" (October). The mini-album Follow: Find You (October 28, 2019) contributed the title track "Follow." This phase culminated in All About Luv (February 14, 2020), a full-length studio album released on Valentine's Day. With the group remaining active and their seven-member lineup in place, All About Luv stands as the most recent full-length entry in a catalog that has grown steadily since 2015.
