GFriend: Discography & Career Overview

GFriend debuted on January 15, 2015 under Source Music, introducing six members — Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji — to the K-pop scene with a sound grounded in bright, melodic pop. Over the years that followed, the group assembled a discography spanning mini-albums, full-length studio records, a repackage, a compilation, and a single, tracing a clear progression from their debut style into more varied sonic territory before a lengthy hiatus and eventual return.

Debut & Early Releases

GFriend's first release, Season of Glass, arrived on their debut date of January 15, 2015, led by the title track "Glass Bead." Just six months later the group returned with the mini-album Flower Bud (July 23, 2015) and its title track "Me Gustas Tu," maintaining an active release pace that would define their early career. The group also issued Rainbow, a repackage album led by "Summer Rain," which extended their early catalog with additional material. Moving into 2016, GFriend released Snowflake (January 25, 2016), a mini-album fronted by "Rough," before stepping into full-length territory with LOL on July 11, 2016 — their first studio album, led by "Navillera."

Discography Arc

Consistent output continued through 2017 with the mini-album The Awakening (March 6, 2017, title track: "Fingertip") and Parallel (August 1, 2017, title track: "Love Whisper"). In 2018, Time for the Moon Night (April 30, 2018) carried its lead track's title as its own, while the mid-year Sunny Summer (July 19, 2018) extended the group's mini-album run. The series concluded with 回: Walpurgis Night (November 9, 2020), the group's fourth full-length studio album, led by "Mago." Return

After an extended hiatus spanning several years, GFriend released Season of Memories — a single album led by the title track of the same name — on January 13, 2025.
