Day6: Discography & Career Overview

2026-06-19

A chronological look at Day6's releases, lineup, and activity — grounded in verified release data.

Day6 is a four-member band — Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon — that debuted under JYP Entertainment on September 7, 2015. In the years following their debut, the group assembled a discography that moves through early mini-albums, a pair of full-length studio releases, a two-part youth-themed series, and an extended conceptual run under The Book of Us banner. With a fanbase known as My Day, Day6 has maintained consistent output across both mini-album and full-length formats throughout their active career.

Debut & Early Releases

Day6 introduced themselves with The Day, a mini-album released on their debut date of September 7, 2015, led by the title track "Congratulations." The group returned roughly six months later with their second mini-album, Daydream, on March 30, 2016, centered on the title track "Letting Go." These two early projects established the group's foundation within JYP Entertainment and set a pattern of regular, closely spaced releases that would define their output going forward.

First Full-Length Albums: Sunrise and Moonrise

2017 marked Day6's entry into full-length studio albums. Sunrise, released June 1, 2017 and led by "I Smile," arrived first, followed by Moonrise on December 6, 2017, led by "I Like You." The paired celestial titles suggest an intentional thematic symmetry, with one album placed in the first half of the year and the other at year's end — a structural approach the group would revisit.

The Youth Series and The Book of Us Era

In 2018, Day6 released a two-part conceptual series: Shoot Me: Youth Part 1 (June 26, 2018, title track "Shoot Me") and Remember Us: Youth Part 2 (December 10, 2018, title track "days gone by"). This pairing reinforced the group's recurring practice of releasing thematically linked works across a single calendar year.

From mid-2019 onward, Day6 launched their most expansive project to date — The Book of Us. The series opened with the mini-album The Book of Us: Gravity on July 15, 2019, and continued with the full-length The Book of Us: Entropy on October 22, 2019. A special release, The Best Day2, followed on December 4, 2019. The arc carried into 2020 with The Book of Us: The Demon (May 11, 2020), led by the title track "Zombie," and concluded in 2021 with The Book of Us: Negentropy (April 19, 2021), led by "You Make Me." Spanning four installments across two-plus years and mixing mini-album and full-length formats, The Book of Us stands as the longest continuous narrative thread in Day6's catalogue to date.
